Summer Camp 2010

One-on-One Time...: I have a new baby and a toddler. Play Away has been a great way for me to spend one-on-one time with the older one, who is adjusting to many changes in the house. We look forward to the experience each week. Tracy really connects with the kids, and that makes it even better! - Cathy & Bella B.
Flexible...: My daughter and I love Play Away. Tracy is very flexible with the children. She recognizes when the children are more interested in active playing than circle time and songs and she adjusts accordingly. Play Away's facility is also very clean and safe with lots of fun toys and activities. Being new to the area, I also appreciate having a place to meet other moms. Laura & Caroline B.
Absolutely loves it...: My son Kaiden got to go to playaway at about 22 months old right after my daughter was born. I wanted my son to go somewhere to have fun yet a place where I could keep an eye on my daughter and where she could be comfortable out of the hot temps outside. My son absolutely loves it and talks about Miss Tracy all the time. Playaway is the highlight of his week. They do all sorts of activities and Miss Tracy is so great with all the kids. She is very active and exuberant with the children. I honestly do not know what I would do without this place when my daughter was born and my son was going stir crazy at home it was and still is a great outlet for him. Tracy & Paul B.
2 parties and classes!: We love play away! We have had two birthday parties there and my kids have been taking classes since 19 months for oldest daughter( since day it opened) and newborn for the other two children. The classes are age appropriate and perfect for social skills and child milestones. We love the winter/summer camp and my kids are dying to go back to Silly Science night and summer camp this year! They love the songs...: Finding activities I can easily do with my very active twins can be challenging. That's why I am so grateful to Play Away and the services Tracy provides. We can all participate in the classes. Over the past six months, I have seen such a difference in my children. They have grown into confidant, more independent (as much as a three year old can be!) boys and I truly believe Play Away has played a huge role in this. Music & Motor Development

Play Away offers 9 music and gross motor development programs. The programs are designed to stimulate and challenge your child.Each Play Away class focuses on developing fine and gross motor functions, balance, listening, increasing creativity and vocabulary through the use of music and movement. These classes have been developed with your child in mind to help them move through the various stages of their development.

Happy Baby (3 to 12 months)
Research shows that babies who are exposed to music form stronger neural connections and are therefore more able to handle higher-level thinking skills such as math and reading. It is never to early to begin singing and moving to rhythms with your baby. It’s time to wiggle and giggle, sing, clap, play, move & groove together . We will also incoerporate a touch of baby sign language and massage games too. It just doesn’t get cuter than this!

Busy Babies (10 to 18 months)
In this program your baby will begin using more manipulative skills. Small and gross motor skill development will be challenged. We know that music combined with movement is crutial in the development of strong and healthy children.These early walkers need a safe, soft place to move around in. They will utilize our "Soft Play" area to the fullest.

Tiny Tots (15 to 28 Months)
Look out! There is no stopping your child at this stage. This music based program is designed with the active child in mind. Gross motor skills are introduced as well as early tumbling, jumping and balancing skills. We begin to focus on listening and direction following games.

Little Kiddles (2 to 3 years old)
Moving to music, gymnastics, relays and begining sports skills will enhance your child's ability to listen and take direction. Their confidence and self-esteem soar as they master new skills and become more confident and independent. Classes will improve spatial awareness and hone listing and direction following skills while climbing, sliding, exploring and stretching their imaginations!
Jumping Jacks (3 to 5 years old)
In this class we work on separation from the parent/caregiver. Our nurturing staff will guide your child so they will confidently participate in a group sports setting. Incorporating gymnastics, sports skills, relays and games we will strengthen listening skills, self reliance and teach sportsmanship.
Play Pals (Mixed Ages 0-6)
We have geared this class so that the activities and songs used will work well with any age group. The children will enjoy the equipment at their own skill levels. Interacting with one another will help to reinforce understanding and positive play with their siblings as well as children of any age.

Toddler Tunes - Infant and Toddler Music Class (Ages 0-5 years)
Each module focuses on a different theme. The use of repetition and familiar settings creates a comfortable learning environment. Each module is designed to inspire and encourage children to express their innate musical talents, laying the foundation for a lifetime of musical appreciation and enjoyment.

Preschool Ballet/Mommy and Me Ballet - (Mommy and Me ages 2-3 & Preschool ballet 3 and up)
Our experienced instructors will teach basic feet and arm positions. With full parent participation, the class focuses on the basic concepts of movement, balance, rhythm and coordination, utilizing colors, games, shapes, numbers and direction following. Your child will be moving to music, and learn short dance combinations. We begin to work on jumps, and learn exercises for strength and flexibility.

Beg. ballet (2 1/2 years to 5 years)
A specially designed movement class where a traditional dance education is camouflaged with creativity! The class explores dance movement, musicality, and pre-ballet skills using an inspirational and non-traditional approach. With limited parent participation the class is able to move quickly engaging even the tiniest of attention spans.

Movement and tumble (3 years to 6 Years)
The class focuses on the basic concepts of movement, balance, rhythm & coordination, and direction following. Your child will learn pre ballet skills, creative movement, and learn short dance combinations. We begin to work on jumps, and learn exercises for strength and flexibility. The class explores dance movement, musicality, and many pre-ballet skills using an inspirational and non-traditional approach.
